I made my first sale at the age of 14, when I wrote an article for Purple Cow, a teen-oriented publication based in Atlanta. Since then, I’ve spent many years writing professionally for a variety of different audiences, and in a wide range of formats and styles.

We've all heard the old writer’s maxim of “write what you know.” And there are a few subjects I know a great deal about. But your business may not be one of them.


That's not as big of a problem as you might think. Because when I start a new writing project, I never let a lack of specific knowledge stop me. I dive right in. I ask questions. I read. I have a wide range of interests, I love research and learning new things, and I can find something interesting about almost any topic you can name.


My guiding principle is to write what I know about—and if I don’t know about it, I make sure to find out all I can about it before I write a single word of copy for your project.

  

Professionalism.

 

I take what I do very seriously. I’m committed to producing top quality work on every job, for every client. I work quickly and I listen to what my clients want, because it’s important to me to get it right the first time out — and I know it’s important to you too.
